People are at the heart of business success. When we add diverse voices, create equitable and inclusive cultures — we are enabling our people to flourish, and in doing so, our businesses will follow suit.
Business leaders are increasingly focused on building diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) across their organizations. Moving the needle requires a strategic plan grounded in data. Data helps identify the gaps and informs the path forward.
To truly disrupt your workforce demographics and culture — you need to innovate. If you follow the same path you've always taken, you're likely to get the same results. In the DE&I space, businesses should assess their current programs and initiatives to ensure they are yielding the intended results.
To disrupt the "that's the way we've always done it" type of thinking — follow the data. Prioritize your focus areas and challenge yourself and your teams to rewrite the script. Be open to having your assumptions disproven and adapt your plan along the way. Find a path forward that connects the data to true progress.
In this Workforce News Minute, ADP Chief Diversity and Talent Officer Bob Lockett share his insights on creating measurable progress in DE&I.
